India's Involvement in Joint Military Drills
India is set to take part in a multinational military exercise scheduled from September 10 to 16 in Russia. Officials have indicated that the primary goal of this exercise is to enhance coordination among participating nations and to provide a platform for sharing strategies, techniques, and procedures related to conventional warfare and counter-terrorism operations.
According to the Indian Ministry of Defence, a contingent of 65 personnel from the Indian Armed Forces departed for Russia on Tuesday to engage in 'Exercise Zapad,' which will take place at the Mulino training ground in Nizhny Novgorod. This group comprises 57 soldiers from the Indian Army, seven from the Indian Air Force, and one from the Indian Navy.
